NAPI holds bioinformatics workshop focusing on DIA methods

The second NAPI bioinformatics workshop took place last week, November 26th. The workshop focused on data independent analysis (DIA) methodolgies, and was attended by researchers from all NAPI nodes.

Dr Pavel Sinitcyn delivering an online tutorial for the MaxDIA data analysis software tool.

The workshop featured presentations and tutorials by Dominic Helm (German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg, Germany) and Pavel Sinitcyn (Jurgen Cox group, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried, Germany). Dr Helm gave a broad overview of DIA approaches and how he uses DIA in his role as Head of the Proteomics Facility at the German Cancer Research Center. Dr Sinitcyn followed with a presentation and tutorial focusing on the MaxDIA software tool for analysis of DIA data. A recent publication related to MaxDIA can be found on the Nature Biotechnology webpages.

This workshop was restricted to a smaller number of participants to encourage an informal and interactive session. However, those interested in receiving a video recording of the MaxDIA tutorial delivered by Dr Sinitcyn can contact Joseph Robertson by email.

We thank Dr Helm and Dr Sinitcyn for taking part in the workshop and informative discussions.
