The first publication from this initiative was published in Nature Communications this week. The study involves a comparison of the metaproteomics workflows established within the various partner laboratories. Each participating lab applied their own workflows to the analysis of the same two samples: an artificial human intestine model and a human fecal sample.
You can read more about the broad aims of the Metaproteomics Initiative, as well as the findings of this first study, in our news item from earlier in 2021.
